KTM India has launched the 200 Duke with single-channel ABS, priced at Rs 1.6 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). That's a premium of around Rs 8,200 over the standard variant. Aside from the inclusion of ABS, the bike remains unchanged. In terms of design, it draws inspiration from the old-gen 390 Duke. The 2017 variant of 200 Duke comes with revised graphics, orange alloy wheels and three different colour schemes - orange, black & white. It features the same all-digital instrument console with readouts such as a clock, trip meter, odometer and distance to empty. Other notable features include an underbelly exhaust, an LED tail light, and 43mm USD front forks.
Powering the KTM 200 Duke is a BS-IV compliant 199.5cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor that churns out a 25.1PS of power at 10,000rpm and a maximum torque output of 19.2Nm at 8,000rpm. A 6-speed transmission transfers power to the rear wheel via chain-drive. The bike achieves a company claimed mileage of 35kmpl and has a top whack of 135kmph. Fuel tank capacity stands at 10.5 litres.
The 200 Duke employs a trellis frame with WP upside-down forks up front and a monoshock at the rear. Braking duties are handled by disc brakes at both ends. Its 17-inch alloy wheels come shod in MRF tubeless tyres.
